Michael Litberg and his crew from Neverless Construction have fully restocked their equipment following a theft at a Los Angeles residence. The loss of batteries, blades, a blower, and several power tools required a rapid replacement to complete a roof repair. The community response allowed the workers to return to the job site without delay.

The incident occurred recently while the team worked on a storm-related repair. Litberg, who is deaf, noted that the stolen gear represented their livelihood. The crew was inside the home for a break from the rain when the theft took place. They returned to the roof to find the workspace empty of essential machinery.

Jan Menapace, the homeowner, observed the crew’s confusion. She stated that the workers were signing to one another while searching for the missing items. She asked them directly what was happening. They explained that their tools had been present moments earlier but were now gone. Litberg confirmed the group felt deprived by the loss.

Menapace checked the home’s security cameras to verify the theft. The footage showed two individuals driving up to the site. They took the equipment and drove away while the crew was indoors. The video provided clear evidence of the crime. It confirmed that the loss was not due to simple misplacement by the workers.

Menapace started an online fundraiser to cover the cost of the missing gear. The campaign quickly gained traction among local residents. Neighbors brought lunch to the job site. Others called to offer to purchase new tools. One caller suggested meeting at Home Depot to buy replacements directly for the crew.

The outpouring of support helped the team replace all stolen items. Litberg expressed gratitude for the generosity shown by the public. He said the experience reinforced the value of community ties. The crew is now focused on finishing the roof repair for Menapace. The job is back on schedule thanks to the donated equipment.

Litberg plans to use this experience to train other deaf workers. He aims to provide job opportunities for individuals in need. The crew continues their work in Los Angeles. They operate as a specialized team focused on construction tasks. The theft and subsequent recovery are now a part of the company's local history.
