The Los Angeles restaurant industry maintains a strong presence in national dining rankings. OpenTable announced on Wednesday that three local establishments made its Top 100 Restaurants in America list for 2026.
The selected venues are Dunsmoor in Glassell Park, Providence in Hollywood, and the Musso & Frank Grill, also in Hollywood. OpenTable calculated the rankings using data from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026. The company stated it analyzed over 11 million verified diner reviews along with metrics for reservation demand, advance bookings, and capacity. California topped the national count with 19 restaurants on the list.
Dunsmoor, located at 3501 Eagle Rock Blvd., focuses on live-fire cooking. The restaurant uses two wood-burning ovens to prepare Southern-inspired dishes such as pork chops, rib-eye, and oysters. A separate wine bar in the rear serves a limited menu. Providence, at 5955 Melrose Ave., is the seafood-focused fine-dining establishment owned by chef Michael Cimarusti. Opened in 2005, it has held two Michelin stars since 2008 and a Green Michelin Star for sustainability. Its tasting menus feature items including caviar, abalone, and black bass. The Musso & Frank Grill at 6667 Hollywood Blvd. has operated since 1919. It serves classic American food, including steaks, roast duck, and its ground beef sandwich, within a historic interior featuring dark wood and leather booths.
The list reflects strong diner ratings, five-star reviews, and direct search volume. OpenTable cited these factors in determining which venues earned a spot in the top tier.
