Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of 14 Palestinians over a 48 hour period, according to the Palestinian health ministry. The most recent casualty was six year old Tahani Mohammad Shalalfah, who died after being shot by Israeli soldiers on Tuesday. Local media reported heavy tank fire in the Al Alam and Al Shakoush areas west of Rafah. Artillery shelling also struck areas in the north of the territory.

On Monday, a bombing of a makeshift camp killed one person. In central Gaza, two members of the security services were killed and two others wounded during a mission in Deir al Balah, according to the Ministry of Interior and National Security. The Palestinian health ministry stated that the total death toll since October 2023 has reached 74,561. This figure includes 1,565 people killed since a ceasefire took effect in October 2025.

The ceasefire was designed to stop the conflict and allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza. However, Israel has continued to attack daily and restrict aid. On Monday, the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory released a new report. The commission stated that Israel continues to commit genocide in Gaza.

The report accused Israeli forces of war crimes and crimes against humanity. These acts include extermination, persecution, torture, rape, and other forms of sexual violence. The commission noted that sexual violence was used with the intent to displace, subjugate, and destabilize the Palestinian people. It cited the use of heavy and unguided munitions in densely populated areas. Drones, quadcopters, and sniper fire contributed to the systematic destruction of civilian life and objects.

The report described the Yellow Line as a steadily encroaching de facto border. This line was initially a temporary demarcation for the ceasefire. It now reflects expanding Israeli territorial control over Gaza. The commission warned that Israel is importing the Gaza strategy of total destruction into the occupied West Bank. Military assaults and sustained settler violence have formed a widespread and systematic attack against civilians since October 7, 2023.

The report said torture, reproductive violence, and rape are part of the attack in the West Bank. Israeli forces deliberately killed Palestinian children and inflicted serious physical and mental harm. The commission characterized this as age based persecution. It called for an end to the occupation and the removal of all settlers and settlements. The commission also demanded that Israel return all confiscated land to its Palestinian owners.
