Clinica Sierra Vista brings free Halloween celebration to Bakersfield

A 55-year-old clinic in Bakersfield brought hundreds of families together for a free Halloween celebration. The event took place on Sunday and included a Trunk-or-Treat activity, with children and adults showing up in creative costumes. The clinic decorated its trunks and filled them with candy for the crowd. The event was particularly beneficial for grandmother Jamie Lujan, who said being able to bring the whole family without worrying about expenses made a real difference. The afternoon was also about more than treats, with community organizations participating to link families with resources and services available across Kern County. Clinica Sierra Vista, which is marking its 55th anniversary, organized the event as a way to give back at a time when many families are under financial strain.
