Eastern Michigan will host Central Michigan on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. ET, with the Eagles favored by 1.5 points. The matchup pits a 4-5 team riding a two-game losing streak against a 3-5 squad that has dropped three consecutive games. Both programs are seeking a victory to improve their chances of reaching a bowl game.

The Eagles' recent form has been volatile. They lost three straight games early in the season before snapping the streak with three wins. That momentum ended when they were defeated by Toledo two weeks ago. Last week, Eastern Michigan fell to Ohio, 24-20, despite covering the spread as 11.5-point road underdogs.

Senior quarterback Brogan McCaughey led the Eagles in that final loss. He recorded 197 passing yards and one touchdown in the contest. Central Michigan has struggled to stop the spread in its own recent games. The Chippewas lost 31-14 at Ohio to start their current skid, then fell to Western Michigan by a single touchdown.

Central Michigan’s most recent defeat came last week against Miami (Ohio), where they lost by one point. Junior quarterback Jadyn Glasser threw for 221 yards and one touchdown in that game. The Chippewas have been more competitive in their last two outings but remain winless in that stretch.

The rivalry dates back to 1902. Central Michigan leads the all-time series, 65-32-6. The Chippewas won the 2025 edition of this game, 24-13. Betting markets have the Over/Under set at 44.5 points, a line that dropped from an initial total of 47.5.

Defensive units for both teams have allowed high scoring outputs recently. Eastern Michigan has given up at least 23 points in three straight games and averages 25.7 points allowed per game this season. Central Michigan has held just one of its last five opponents under 20 points and concedes 25.9 points per game on average.

Eastern Michigan has scored at least 20 points in four of its last five games, reaching 25 points in three of those contests. SportsLine’s computer model projects a total of 50 points in this matchup. The model predicts the Over will hit in 65% of simulations.
